About Sky Alps
Ibiza is teeming with unique sights that make taking a time-out from the beach very rewarding: visit the old town of ‘Eivissa’ (Ibiza Town) where a Carthaginian settlement once existed around 650 BC, the Las Dalias hippy market where clothing, handmade jewellery and traditional hippy crafts are sold, La Galeria Elefante with unusual decorative items, clothing and other curiosities, Sa Caleta Phoenician Settlement, or the Cova de Can Marca, a more than 100,000-year-old stalactite cave which once hid smuggled goods such as tobacco, coffee and alcohol.
Stylish boutiques, small shops, markets and above all swimwear shops: Ibiza is a mini shopping paradise! Ibiza is always ahead of fashion in terms of swimwear. A visit to the hippy markets where original finds dating back to the times of the true hippies can sometimes be scored is a must. You can get your luxury shopping on at Marina Ibiza or Marina Botafoch shopping area, whereas the old town of Ibiza or old harbour district of Ibiza Town are the best spots to find traditional and local products. Simply ask the locals for the best shopping spots.
Whether you’re in a beach bar, restaurant, bar or cafe, Ibiza’s certainly got all bases covered when it comes to delicious food and drinks, good vibes and party atmospheres. Enjoy a romantic dinner on the beach or in an authentic restaurant in the old town – and then hit up one of the world-famous clubs to take in that pure Ibiza feeling in Pacha, Ushuaïa, Amnesia or Es Paradis. There’s no stopping party life on Ibiza, even with the coronavirus. Under certain conditions of course: all safety and hygiene measures are rigorously observed.
In addition to the best partying around, Ibiza also plays host to a myriad of folk festivals throughout the year that give visitors a glimpse into the island’s history. Such events include the patronage festivals of the different villages, the flower festival in Santa Eulalia, nationwide festivities celebrating the beginning of summer in Spain which feature fireworks and campfires, Nuestra Senora del Carmen (a festival held in honour of the patron saint of fishermen) or – probably the largest patronage festival in Ibiza – the Nuestra Señora de las Nieves held at Ibiza Cathedral in Ibiza Town on 5th August featuring parades, dances, big fireworks and many other highlights.
Enjoy Ibiza to the fullest and find your way around the island by public transport: Ibiza has a well-developed bus network stretching across the entire island from Ibiza Town. In summer, night buses bring night owls to and from the clubs on an hourly basis. Hiring a car in Ibiza is not only convenient, it also lets you explore destinations that can’t be reached by public transport. For further information, visit tourismus.eivissa.es.
