The Milano–Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games will turn Northern Italy into the centre of the international winter sports world. From 6 to 22 February 2026, the world’s best athletes will compete across disciplines ranging from alpine skiing to skeleton, hosted in spectacular locations. One of the most important venues is Cortina d’Ampezzo, in the heart of the Dolomites, where numerous competitions will take place.

Cortina d’Ampezzo is one of Europe’s most legendary winter destinations and, with the 2026 Olympic Winter Games, will once again host a global sporting highlight — exactly 70 years after the 1956 Games. Among the events staged here are:

• the women’s alpine skiing competitions on the famous Olympia delle Tofane
• bobsleigh, luge and skeleton at the new Cortina Sliding Centre
• the curling competitions at the historic Cortina Ice Stadium

The Opening Ceremony will take place on 6 February 2026 at the San Siro Stadium in Milan, while the Closing Ceremony will be held on 22 February 2026 at the Arena di Verona.
