About Sky Alps
Palma is full of objects that should not be missed. One of them is certainly the Cathedral of Palma, which with its 44 meters high nave, is the second highest nave of all Gothic cathedrals in the world (after the Beauvais Cathedral in France). Afterwards, you should grab a map of the city and explore the narrow, cobblestone streets behind the cathedral. These are mainly pedestrian streets, as they are too narrow for cars. Gems along the way: The peaceful Bishop's Garden and the Banys Arabs, the Arab baths.
The tree-lined avenue is now known as the "golden mile". In recent years, the Paseo del Borne has finally become the most important shopping street on the island, with Rialto Living, Louis Vuitton Store, Hugo Boss, Carolina Herrera, Nicolás Joyeros,Twin-Set and ROUGE Mallorca. The Borne is the "designer mile" when it comes to luxury shopping.
Mallorca will turn all your senses upside down from the first minute, especially the sense of taste. Fresh and intense flavors provide the basis of Mallorcan cuisine. The traditional recipes together with the natural ingredients of the island make these dishes unforgettable.
The whole food culture of the island is based on the fresh products of agriculture, the meat of local pork and all the fish of the sea. It is the purest Mediterranean diet that must be tasted!
In Palma there are many festivals throughout the year. Some are new, others have been celebrated since the Middle Ages. But all combine the best of Mallorca: a great community spirit, delicious food, live music, and lots of family-friendly activities. Highlights include the Three Kings parade on January 5, the Sant Sebastià street barbecues on January 20, the Sa Rua carnival in mid-February, Balearic Day on March 1, and the epic Sant Joan fire night on June 23.
